New interview with a friend of Robin Williams (and me!) who can help you be more creative
Let me introduce you to a friend of mine, Barnet Bain.
Barnet is producer and writer, known for What Dreams May Come with Robin Williams, The Celestine Prophecy and Homeless to Harvard: The Liz Murray Story.
I just finished a video interview with Barnet – you can see it here.
Barnet is a friend who has really tackled the process of how to boost creativity, brainstorming ideas, getting unstuck, inspired and increasing you CQ – “creativity quotient.”
Whenever I’m in LA, I try to stop by Barnet’s place in Malibu for a day of creative brainstorming and peering into the future of entertainment, education and changing the world.
Did you know that 98% of 3 year olds tested at brainstorming ideas, register as ‘creative geniuses?’ By age 25, that number is 2%.
Wow. Think about what that means for the future.
Last year Barnet called me up to tell me about his new book and asked me to brainstorm with him about how to promote it and push it to bestseller status.
One of the things I suggested is schedule a time to do a video interview to share his breakthroughs in creativity that he’s used to make movies and live creatively from his book that includes 40 cutting edge lessons, techniques and principles about living creatively.
The Book of Doing and Being: Rediscovering Creativity in Life, Love and Work by giving away this totally free CQ Assessment Tool that will tell you instantly where you are, and get you thinking about entirely new ways of being.
Long before our first job or relationship, we have mostly lost our creative birthright — and many don't even know it. It shows up as feeling uninspired, stuck, seeing no solution to our problems, unable to take life, love or work to the next level, etc…but it's really a creativity capacity issue, a problem with CQ, our creativity quotient.
To address the amount of uncertainty that we all face — and that seems to have too few solutions, CQ and innovation must be re-awakened.
One of the things Barnet has created is something he calls a CQ Assessment Tool that will tell you instantly where you are, and get you thinking about entirely new ways of being.
Here's the link. Get it now as a gift and get ready to take a quantum leap in your creative re-awakening. www.TheBookOfDoingAndBeing.com
In this interview, Barnet demonstrates some techniques for rapidly achieving meditation success and he also shared some of his tips for creating a creative environment for his daughter – who recently left a Hollywood job to focus on her true dream…
I won’t give away what this is – but suffice to say, Barnet is very, very proud of his daughter.
Barnet also talk about his book – The Book of Doing and Being with more than 40 cutting edge lessons, techniques and principles about living creatively. Whether you’re jump starting or completing a project, launching a new business, creating a work of art, pursuing more fulfilling relationships, or making other dreams come true, The Book of Doing and Being offers a life-altering map for stepping beyond what you already know into the territory of imagination where innovation is born.
Here is what a variety of though leaders are saying about the new book:
“This is quite simply the best book on creativity I’ve ever read. It is, at once, an eloquent theory of where the creative spark ‘lives’ and how best to access it, a complete toolkit for igniting your own creative potential, and a master-class in the power of living life without a discernible compass. Follow the eloquent siren call of The Book of Doing and Being, abandon the path of certainty, and learn, as Barnet Bain himself has done, to ‘live on magic.’ Consider this ‘a course in creative miracles’ – your own.”
Lynne McTaggart, international bestselling author of The Field, The Intention Experiment and The Bond.
“Bain authentically demonstrates that “BEING” with the right attitude puts your aptitude on steroids , so that you’ll be active in “DOING” for your success.”
Peter Guber, co-owner Los Angeles Dodgers, owner Golden State Warriors, and author of Tell to Win.
“This is definitely a book of the year! Barnet Bain has found the most eloquent and experiential way of awakening in us and drawing from our souls the very energy required to illuminate and electrify this planet with an unparalleled creative force; definitely a book of the year!”
~ Lisa Nichols, author of New York Times bestseller, No Matter What, featured teacher in The Secret.
I hope you enjoy this interview as much as I liked doing it.
Enjoy the video – and please post your comments, questions and share it with anyone you know who would benefit from more creativity, productivity, connection and success.
